Slowly filling my new display cabinet.

I’m not sure if I’ll keep it this way since there is so much vertical space wasted since I don’t have many tall figures & there’s a lot more figures I would like to get in there. (I might try to add a shelf or something.)

The display case was given to me by my friend, Hezachan, who I hope is having a good trip cross country. ♥♥♥

I got them custom made by a store that makes made-to-order lolita shoes, I can’t seem to find the info right now but if I do I’ll post it here.

I remember you said you used a bodysuit for your L Raptor cosplay. I hope you don't mind me asking, but do you know of a tutorial or any advice to get it fit well to your body? I kind of wanted to cosplay someone, however she's pretty much in the nude. So I thought the only way I'd be able to achieve that look is a tight bodysuit fitted to my body.

I did, but like I’ve stated every time someone asks about my L.Raptor bodysuit…I didn’t make it, Sephygoth made it for me due to a time crunch in completing the cosplay. Sephygoth is amazing when it comes to making them; all the way from drafting the pattern made specially for me, to the finished bodysuit! (in fact every full bodysuit that I’ve worn to date was made by Sephygoth) My part was minor at best only contributing to some extremely minor finishing on it.

I honestly have no idea about any tutorial(s) since I rarely if ever use them myself (I started cosplaying before they were a thing so I never relied on them) I figured out how to alter and fit on my own through a ton of trial & error. ^^; If a tutorial is what you are looking for I’d recommend Googling it.

As for advice; off the top of my head the only advice I can think of right now would be experiment to see what works on your body with the fabric you’ll be using. Also always err on the side of a little too big to accommodate variances in the degree of stretch in the fabric since you can always remove fabric but if it’s too small you cannot add fabric.

Also buy more fabric than you think you need, it covers you in-case you make a mistake or if something happens. You never know when the store you got your fabric from will run out of that particular type.

Aww, thank-you! I’m glad you like it! ^_^

As I mentioned on my Shampoo costume page on my site I took 2 base wigs and combined them to make her wig which I then styled. When I made this cosplay there was no base wig that was long & thick enough for Shampoo’s hair, so I had no other choice than to do it myself. ^^;

Just look at this girl’s hair, there’s so much of it & with a crazy amount of bangs to boot! (I have long hair & it’s nowhere near this thick! XD)

(P.S. Please read my site 1st before asking questions that are definitely answered on there. Not that I don’t like getting asks, or talking about my work, but I did already spent the time & energy making the site & doing the write-ups. Thanks. ^_~♥)

I got it from Harts Fabric, but they have since sold out & it’s discontinued. I even called them up to see if they might still have it not listed on their site but they confirmed they were sold out and that it was a limited seasonal print that was already several years old & has been discontinued for a long time. ;_;

I’ve looked around but I haven’t seen it anywhere else since, sorry. :(

Anyway, I wish you luck with your cosplay! :D

Yeah, everything’s pretty much settled down and has gotten back to “normal”. When we were out and about in town a few weeks ago it felt like normal. They reopened Boylston Street pretty quickly although I still haven’t been to that part of town yet, I think it’s because I can’t quite bring myself to do so yet.

There are still things going on & being done but there is no longer the constant inundation of news or disruption to daily life.

Time for a break...

have you ever cosplayed Babydoll from Sucker Punch? You remind me so much of Emily Browning (but imo you're 10x prettier). You'd be a great Babydoll! Although she is a tad more sexualized than mami or any other magical girl lol

But no, I haven’t cosplayed as Babydoll and to be honest I haven’t even seen Sucker Punch yet…^^; I’ll keep it in mind tho and add it to my Netflix queue, if it’s on there! Thanks! =^.^=

(P.S. I have cosplayed more sexualized characters so that isn’t always a draw back, it’s more of a neutral point. For me I like to cosplay from things I have seen/played it in addition to liking the character & the design…^^;)
